Tahoe Literary Festival Opens Call for Submissions for 2026 Festival
Writers, educators, literary professionals, and creative thinkers are invited to help shape the 2026 Tahoe Literary Festival. Returning for its third year on Oct. 9–10, 2026, the festival celebrates the literary arts, creativity, and community on the shores of North Lake Tahoe.
Sponsored by the North Tahoe Chamber, the Tahoe Literary Festival is one of the events receiving 2026 TOT-TBID Dollars At Work funding. Chamber-sponsored events promote community vitality, environmental stewardship, and economic health throughout the region.
Hosted by the nonprofit Tahoe Literary Festival, the event brings together acclaimed authors, poets, publishers, industry leaders, and emerging voices for a weekend of inspiration, learning, and connection. Through engaging conversations and educational programming, the festival fosters creativity, cultivates community, and supports the literary arts throughout the Tahoe region.
The festival is currently accepting proposals for workshops, panel discussions, craft talks, author conversations, and sessions focused on the business of writing. Organizers encourage writers, educators, publishing professionals, and literary leaders to submit ideas for programming that will inspire and engage attendees.
Proposal submissions are open through July 10, 2026.
