North Tahoe Chamber and NTCA Meet with Congressman Ami Bera to Discuss Regional Priorities

Congressman Ami Bera and members of his staff recently met with leaders from the North Tahoe Chamber and North Tahoe Community Alliance to learn more about the organizations’ work and the issues shaping North Tahoe’s business community and communities.

The conversation provided an opportunity to share how the Chamber and NTCA support local businesses, strengthen the regional economy and advance community vitality throughout North Tahoe. Leaders also discussed some of the key challenges facing businesses and residents, including aging infrastructure, the high cost of doing business, access to local housing, workforce development, transportation and environmental stewardship.

A key focus of the discussion was identifying opportunities for federal partnership and resources that could help advance North Tahoe’s priorities. This includes supporting the continued revitalization and economic vitality of the Kings Beach District and Tahoe City.

Engaging with regional, state and federal partners is an important part of advancing solutions to the challenges facing North Tahoe.
