Through the North Tahoe Local Showcase program, the North Lake Tahoe Visitor Information Center in Tahoe City highlights local businesses and creators, putting Tahoe-inspired products and community favorites in front of visitors while helping travelers discover the businesses that make North Tahoe special.
Each month, the Local Showcase features a different local business, providing an opportunity to explore unique products, learn local stories, and support the entrepreneurs who contribute to our community.
Featured Local Business: Tahoe Dog Co.
The North Tahoe Local Showcase program launched with Tahoe Dog Co., the Visitor Information Center’s first Featured Vendor. Founded in 2025, this locally owned business celebrates the dogs that make Tahoe special while supporting the region’s rescue and shelter community.
Built on the belief that dogs are an essential part of the Tahoe experience, Tahoe Dog Co. welcomes every pup — from local companions to first-time visitors exploring the region. Their motto says it best: “A Tahoe Dog isn’t a breed. It’s a lifestyle.”
