From casual lakefront bites to hearty mountain favorites, the guide highlights restaurants across the region that go the extra mile for families—whether that means kids’ menus, flexible seating, or space to unwind after a day outside.

Tahoe City Farmers Market Returns This Summer with New Opportunities for Local Businesses

The North Tahoe Chamber is proud to support local businesses through the Tahoe City Farmers Market, returning May 14 through October 22 at Commons Beach every Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM. This year, the Chamber will create opportunities that increase visibility and connection for local businesses.

This season includes continued sponsorship of cooking demonstrations featuring local restaurants beginning in June, offering a platform to highlight Tahoe City’s culinary community and engage directly with attendees.

New this year, the Chamber is offering a free, sponsored booth space for local businesses to share materials, showcase offerings, and connect with market visitors. A downtown business map will also be distributed to encourage exploration of Tahoe City’s shops, restaurants, and services before and after the market.

Together, these efforts are designed to strengthen the connection between the Farmers Market experience and the broader local business community.

North Tahoe Chamber Sponsors 2026 Tahoe Economic Summit

The North Tahoe Chamber was a proud sponsor of the 2026 Tahoe Prosperity Center Tahoe Economic Summit, held May 7 in South Lake Tahoe. The conference focused on accelerating Tahoe’s innovation ecosystem and featured local economic experts, Tahoe-based entrepreneurs, and leading policy and change-makers. Keynote speakers Dr. Fred Steinmann and Karen Gordon presented a macroeconomic overview of the primary drivers impacting our region and shared insights on how businesses and communities can prepare for future changes.

During the “From Ideas to Expansion: Navigating Business Growth in Tahoe” workshop, it was inspiring to hear from Jason Juurss of Happy Tiers Bakery, who shared how the North Tahoe Chamber has helped support him as his new bakery prepares to open in Kings Beach. In the Innovation Space, we learned about the Marcella Foundation’s makerspace for high school students and viewed a live laser technology demonstration, and heard updates from the Tahoe Earth Institute on initiatives transforming bark waste chips into usable wood products for homes and businesses.

The summit provided an incredible opportunity for networking, collaboration, and education, bringing together leaders, innovators, and community members committed to strengthening Tahoe’s economy and future. The North Tahoe Chamber was honored to be part of the conversations and looks forward to continuing to support innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic vitality throughout the region.
