Supporting Local Artists at the Visitor Information Centers

The North Tahoe Chamber proudly supports local artists and small businesses by featuring their work in our Visitor Information Centers. Showcasing locally made art and products creates meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to connect with the creativity and character of North Lake Tahoe while directly supporting the talented individuals who call this place home.

Currently, the Kings Beach Visitor Center is featuring Daniel Chavez, an NTCA team member, adventurer, and photographer with a passion for capturing the world from perspectives most never see. Whether trekking mountain trails, exploring remote landscapes by off-road vehicle, or venturing out at night with his camera and telescope, Daniel’s work brings both the vast sky and the earth’s hidden corners into focus.

Astrophotography is one of his deepest passions. Daniel captures celestial wonders that are often invisible to the naked eye, revealing the hidden beauty of the universe and offering a glimpse into worlds many have never explored. Through aerial drone photography, he adds yet another dimension, showcasing the scale and serenity of the landscapes that surround places like Lake Tahoe and beyond.

Daniel’s goal is to share these experiences with others — the wonder of the night sky, the thrill of exploration, and the quiet power of nature. He believes fine art photography should be accessible, not exclusive, and strives to offer his work at an affordable price so anyone can bring a piece of nature or the cosmos into their space.

Stop by the Kings Beach Visitor Center to view his work, and follow him on Instagram @jdanny_ch.
