The North Tahoe Chamber funds local events with TBID dollars that bring the character and spirit of our communities to life for residents and visitors. Events are a key opportunity to support year-round visitation by attracting visitors during shoulder seasons and encouraging them to explore beyond peak-season patterns — including experiencing North Tahoe’s mountain communities in the summer and lake experiences in the winter. Sponsorships are awarded based on how events impact the economic health, community vitality, and environmental stewardship of North Tahoe.
2027 Event Funding Applications
The North Tahoe Chamber is excited to announce the launch of the 2027 Event Funding Sponsorship program. Beginning this year, the program will include one application cycle for all eligible events taking place between January 1–December 31, 2027.
Application Timeline
Application Opens: August 15, 2026
Application Deadline: September 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Events that have received Event Funding Sponsorship for two or more years will receive a personal invitation to complete a shortened application.

Funding Information
A total of $650,000 has been allocated to support events throughout the North Tahoe Region in 2027.
Funding guidelines:
- Previously funded events may receive up to $50,000 in sponsorship support.
- Sponsorship awards will not exceed 50% of an event’s total budget.
- Applications will be evaluated through a data-driven review process using defined scoring criteria.
Event Funding Sponsorship dollars are generated through the North Lake Tahoe Tourism Business Improvement District (NLT-TBID) and support events that contribute to:
- Community vitality
- Environmental stewardship
- Economic health throughout the region
